“Due to the increase in electric vehicles, it is necessary to reserve more parking spaces for (solely) charging electric vehicles than is currently the case. Many municipalities therefore opt for a rollout strategy where charging stations are proactively – ahead of demand – prepared and/or installed. To relieve the municipal organization and also to realize electric charging points more quickly and adequately, the use of collective traffic decisions is increasingly being adopted. A collective traffic decision requires a greater one-time effort but yields a capacity advantage and ensures a more efficient and better plannable implementation process for charging stations.”
