The growth of electric transport requires more than just new charging stations. It requires smart choices: where do you add charging points, and when? With our software, we help municipalities and operators make data-driven decisions when planning both existing and new charging infrastructure. At EVTools, we believe that software is only the means to an end. The goal is clean, accessible mobility that benefits people and the environment. That is why we are building a platform that brings parties together, allows data to flow freely, and makes decisions transparent.
Why we do this
We are not driving for technology's sake. We are doing this to bring a fossil-free future closer, step by step. And we can only succeed if we do it together: government, CPOs, property owners, and citizens. Collaboration is central to everything we do.
How our prioritization works
We combine two sources of insight:
- an area forecast of charging demand
- four usage criteria for existing charging points: energy consumption, transactions, occupancy rate, and unique users.
Based on this, our software automatically assigns locations a priority score (1–5):
- Priority 1: all four criteria met,
- Priority 2: three out of four achieved,
- Priority 3: two achieved,
- Priority 4: one achieved,
- Priority 5: only predicted demand (no usage data yet).

These are clear rules that replace discussion with shared facts — so that partners can reach the same decision together.
Always up to date, user-friendly
Data is constantly changing. That's why our platform automatically refreshes insights and priorities. For you, that means:
- make faster decisions about investments,
- fair distribution of capacity across neighborhoods and target groups,
- respond flexibly to new charging behavior.
We consciously design with people in mind: maps that you understand immediately, dashboards that encourage collaboration, and workflows that fit your process, not the other way around. This leaves more time for discussion, coordination, and support.
What we are already seeing in practice
This method has already been successfully tested in various contracts where the EVTools platform is used. It showed that a large proportion of the charging stations meet multiple criteria, which provided immediate insight into where expansions would have the greatest impact. The result: a more efficient and future-proof charging network.

Illustration from a municipality in Brabant: 175 charging stations out of 583 meet two criteria: kWh and transactions.
What we are working towards
Our mission is simple: to accelerate the rollout of charging points together, so that green driving becomes the norm and everyone can join in. EVTools is atech and impact company: we build smart software because it gives us a push towards a cleaner, more humane future. Together towards 100% sustainable mobility.
